Family Paddleboard Lessons
Our Family SUP lessons in Cornwall are a great way to get everyone on the water. These sessions are brilliant to introduce you all to this fab sport. If you and your family are interested in learning to SUP or maybe you have your own kit and want to learn the basics we will cover knee paddling, help you gain board control and stand! We can also give you tips on safety when out with younger paddlers. These SUP sessions are specifically designed for families with young children.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
Our group Family SUP sessions are timed around the high tide times for the Camel Estuary in Padstow. This is a perfect place to learn to paddleboard or take a SUP tour. If conditions permit we may be able to run sessions from our beach location at Harlyn. We have pre-selected the days to suit tide times and limited sessions are available so to guarantee availability please consider pre-booking as early as you can.
For children we require a min height of 5ft and age range of 11/12yrs. All participants need to be able to swim 25m – buoyancy aids are provided as a mandatory requirement.
The forecast can change very quickly – we keep our eye on the weather like a hawk! The estuary is a sheltered haven and we can usually find a calm area even if the wind is blowing. We will only contact customers a day before IF we have concerns about the weather forecast. Please contact us prior if you are traveling a long distance to attend a session. We do NOT cancel sessions if it is raining. If you do not hear from us then assume all is ok.
