Kayaking Adventure Tours

Our sit on top kayak adventures are a great way of exploring the coastline or the stunning Camel estuary. Once we have given you a safety briefing it’s time to hit the water. Before we set off we will make sure you are comfortable in the kayaks and have learnt the basic paddling strokes – you will then start exploring with your guide. We only use sit on top kayaks as these are very stable and easy to use for novice paddlers. There is no risk of entrapment should you capsize which is rare.

Our sessions are based around the high tide times so we can use the estuary in Padstow if the sea is too rough. Your meeting point will be confirmed at the time of booking but may change if sea conditions are not appropriate – We aim to confirm the meeting point the day before or on the day of your booking. 

If the time states 0.00 this is due to the tide not being in our favour so if the sea is to rough we do not have the estuary as a back up. In this case we will contact you a few days prior to confirm the session time, so we can make the best of the sea conditions.

What you need to know.

Timings: Our session times vary due to the tides. please check our availability. We offer both coastal and estuary paddles. If conditions are not appropriate for the ocean we will run the session on the estuary in Padstow. It is very rare that conditions are not safe in the estuary – this is a perfect place to kayak. We mainly use double kayaks, singles are available on request. Session last around 1.5hr.

Ages restrictions: Our min age is 12yrs. If under 16yrs we prefer an adults to be with them as they may need assistance with paddling the kayaks. If you have younger participants and part of a group please speak to us. Our double kayaks can accommodate two adults and a small child as long as the weight limit is not exceeded.

Weight restrictions: For novice paddlers our double kayaks can take up to a recommended max combined weight of 193kg. They can be rigged to be paddled solo.  Single kayaks 100kg  NOTE – we can easily rig our double kayaks up to be paddled as a single should you be concerned about solo weight limits

Weather: The wind and surf can affect this session, if we deem the conditions not to be appropriate to run we will contact you a day prior to your sessions. We still go ahead in the rain.

Price: £55pp. For bookings of 4 or more people we offer a group discount.
