Harlyn is the nearest beach to Padstow and St Merryn and is recognised as the best and safest place to learn to surf in the Padstow, Constantine and Porthcothan area. Harlyn has an amazing crescent shaped bay, with a gently shelving beach and offers fantastic surf throughout the season. Its sheltered location is also great for kayaking and coasteering. The beach is lifeguard patrolled from May - September, there are car parking facilities and refreshments on hand and it is one of the few dog friendly beaches in the area. Because it is widely recognised as the safest beach it is especially popular with schools and families. Oh and the locals, who know a good thing when they find it!! For our stand up paddleboard lessons we use the beautiful Camel estuary in Padstow where you can the stunning views whilst learning and practicing skills in a safe flat water environment.
