Our guided Harlyn kayak tours will take you around the beautiful coastline by Harlyn Bay or along the Camel Estuary in Padstow. The kayak tours last for 2 hours and you are bound to be amazed by the sheer beauty of the Cornwall coastal environment as well as enjoying the physical exhilaration of paddling your own sea kayak! We use two man Ocean Malibu sit on top kayaks which are very stable and there is no risk of entrapment. The sit on top kayaks are more appropriate for those who feel more free and comfortable on top of the kayak rather than inside it. Our double kayaks are almost impossible to fall off but you should you do so we provide buoyancy aids so you will float. No experience is necessary. For familes with young children U8 it is perfectly safe to have the child sat in the middle as the kayaks will float 3 people. We do not charge for U8 if you take this option. If you require further info on this option please call us to discuss. For more experienced paddlers or those that wish to kayak by themselves we have a few Perception single sit on top kayaks.
Take it easy and enjoy the amazing scenery such as sea birds, seals, basking sharks and sunfish or explore the rugged coastline and many secluded spots to be found while kayaking in Cornwall. Kayaks, wetsuits, lifejackets and helmets are supplied FREE by us. Depending on weather conditions it may be ok to not wear a wetsuit. For those that wish to arrange kayak hire we have them available for hire from our base right on the beach at Harlyn so there is no need to arrange for roof racks for your car. We strongly advise all those that are thinking to hire kayaks in the local area to use Harlyn bay as it's sheltered beach is by far the safest option. We will provide you with safety information and operating areas and if we consider the conditions to be not appropriate we will not hire the kayaks. Westerly facing beaches are generally not suitable for launching sit on top kayaks unless you are experienced or the surf conditions are very small or flat.
