Cornwall is renowned for having the most consistent surf in the UK. Our base, Harlyn Bay, close to Padstow and St.Merryn, is definitely the safest and best learning beach in the immediate area, a great place to learn to surf and improve, suitable for all ages. As a reward for our long standing trading history, impressive safety records and excellent service levels we have been granted exclusive use of Harlyn and Treyarnon beaches by the local council during peak periods. This ensures that our surf school will be the only one in the water and you can be assured that you will be learning in far less crowded and much safer conditions than on most other beaches.

On the rare occasions when the conditions are unsuitable we do have the flexibility to use other beaches in the area. The beaches at Constantine, Boobys, Porthcothan and Trevone are fantastic in their own right but they are rarely suitable to teach beginner or improvers and are more appropriate for experienced surfers.

Harlyn is a gently shelving, wide sweeping beach, lifeguard patrolled with excellent car parking and refreshment facilities available. There are 3 campsites in the immediate area, Higher Harlyn, Mother Iveys, and Harlyn Sands, all just a 5 min walk to our base on the beach. Padstow, home to the celebrity chef Rick Stein, is a 5 minute drive away and there is an excellent variety of award winning restaurants and accommodation available. There are plenty of things to do in Padstow, bikes can be hired from Padstow Cycle Hire for the a trip along the world famous Camel Trail, speedboat and fishing trips run from the harbour and waterskiing and sailing lessons are available at Rock just across the estuary.

Our success is built on repeat bookings and word of mouth and we do advise you during peak periods to BOOK IN ADVANCE in order to secure a lesson with us.
