On a Saltwater Training lifeguard course, you will learn from an exceptional team of highly qualified and motivated instructors, with unrivalled experience and knowledge of surf coaching and the local surf. Cornwall is a world centre in the surf industry and there can be no better place to gain a lifeguard or surf instructor qualification.
Our Head Instructor, Chris Rea, has 15 years experience running one of the UK’s largest surf schools as well as 30 years surfing experience locally and internationally. Chris is also a coach educator for the British Surf Association, Surf Life Saving GB and British Stand Up Paddleboard Association
You will be knocked out by our fantastic training location at Harlyn Bay, a sheltered gently sloping beach. We are really proud of our success rate with many graduates of our renowned lifeguard course now working as RNLI Beach Lifeguards or surf instructors at surf schools throughout the UK and Europe.
